Bend
Probably when thinking about yoga and reading bending, a picture of an impossible body posture comes to your mind. And this brings me to the subject I want to stress here. Your mind. Clearly we are going to bend and stretch our body. While doing it, this can also be a challenge for your mind. Do you believe, you can do it? Are you allowing yourself the thought, that something challenging is possible? Do you allow yourself to think big? I promise you will find yourself in uncomfortable situations and coping with them with a positive mindset will make you stronger. For everyone its different, what gives you discomfort. For you it can be a specific posture, a breathing exercise, singing a mantra or the feeling of not knowing. You will learn to recognize these moments, inviting them and grow. Seeking discomfort can make us stronger and more vivid. But you have to learn to listen to you, how far you can go and respect your boundaries. That’s right! Many times we find our self complaining, that others cross our boundaries, but more often we do it to our selves. We hold on to people, that harm us, go to work while we are sick or doing an asana way out of our comfort zone, because all the other yogis in the room are doing it.
Lets bend ours bodies and minds together and grow even more to our true selfs. Lets find joy in discomfort.
